Racial Equity and Economic Mobility (REEM) Commission

The Racial Equity and Economic Mobility (REEM) Commission was established to convene around matters of racial inequities, social justice, and disparities in key areas that negatively impact the Black community in Greenville. REEM is composed of community leaders from diverse backgrounds and industries who share a commitment to creating change in our community.

Its work is organized into five focus areas: Income and Wealth, Criminal Justice, Education and Workforce Development, Health and Wellness, and Communitywide Learning. REEM believes that by coming together to listen, analyze, understand, and learn, we can start to heal and move forward in more equitable ways for everyone in Greenville.

Hollingsworth Funds plays a leadership role, both as a thought partner and commission member of REEM, and provides ongoing operating support to this initiative.
